Wound Treatment Advanced Unit

The UATF (Wound Treatment Advanced Unit) is an integrated health unit in Leirivida and the first private unit dedicated to the treatment of wounds in Portugal.

In clinical activity since January 24, 2011, it is a unit with unique features, high quality, designed thinking on the citizen in order to intervene effectively, based on scientific evidence, improving the quality of life of a patient with wound (surgical, traumatic, leg ulcer, etc).

It consists of a multidisciplinary team of experts in the field of wounds and with specific training that make an approach in full, first preparing the patient for the therapeutic process outlined, later to proceed to the wound site treatment.
This team is ready to support and provide scientific answers, to people with all kinds of wounds, even the most complex and difficult healing.

The facilities are prepared for this purpose and equipped with the most modern equipment, has ensured accessibility to persons with limited mobility.

The following advanced treatments and techniques are applied:

Placement of advanced dressings;
Vascular Doppler;
Specific diagnostic test;
Compression therapy;
Negative pressure therapy.

UATF Objective

Provide high quality differentiated care to patients with various types of wounds, to heal in order and in the shortest time possible, and promote the quality of life of people with wound.
